Unschooled Artist- Project under Raasleela Textile, an Ahmedabad based brand.

An initiative where artisans will explore their design sensibility along with needle skills. Which will allow them to experience entrepreneurship. We together will explore new designs & technicality, quality improvements, consumer requirements, cost calculations and valuing each product.

Jaya Chaniya- 

is an ensemble designed as such that it follows the principle of minimum waste pattern making, It is a classic cut that adds to your conscious wardrobe; made of handwoven cotton fabric and is 100% handstitched.

 Jaya ben is our all rounder artisan but her specialty is applique work. She was one of the artisans who had a knack for designing and experimenting. We decided that she would like to do a floral skirt using the fabric remnants. Always been the one who stays silent Jaya opened up her pandora box for this project and designed fantastic garment surfaces. We have paired the skirt with a shirt made from the remnants of Jambani cotton dupatta.
